Virtual Tour images as .swf (flash) files
Published by Admin April 25th, 2007 in UncategorizedWe’ve had an increasing number of inquiries from Web Designers as to the availability of our images in Flash formats. Where a web site is being developed in flash, the Quicktime movies were being triggered by a pop-up window using the getURL Action Scriptscript and some javascript within the HEAD of the html file.
That works well and we’ve seen some great results but it also means a little extra code for designers and a pop up window for site visitors. So today we are announcing the development of our 360 degree Virtual Tour images in .SWF format (availability to be confirmed).
Being able to call a .swf 360 from within a flash site will be a valuable time saver for our Web Design clients and a usability improvement too. While there have been various attempts to export 360 images in the flash format, we’ve been disappointed by the quality, distortion and interface restrictions.
Our new .swf files are high quality (as high as .mov files), can have customised navigation (pan and zoom) interfaces and allow the overlay of a semi-transparent png within the interface window (for your logo or 360 location etc).
